For Marination:
1: green chilli 5
2: onions 2 medium
3: cashew nuts 4 tbsp (or) almonds 4 tbsp
4: desiccated coconut 3 tbsp
5: yogurt 1 cup
Other Ingredients:
1: chicken 1 kg
2: ginger & garlic paste 1 & 1/2 tbsp
3: cumin seeds 1 tsp (dry roasted & crushed)
4: salt 2 tsp
5: red chilli powder 2 tsp
6: turmeric 1/2 tsp
7: coriander powder 1 tbsp
8: tomatoes 3 large (grind)
9: marination paste
10: oil 3/4 cup
11: black peppercorn 10
12: green cardamom 6
13: fennel seeds 1 tsp
14: cinnimon stick 2
15: cloves 8
16: star anise 1
17: poatotes 800g (peeled & cut in half)
18: water 3 large glass
19: boiled eggs as many you like
20: bullet green chilli 5
21: garam masala powder 1 tsp
22: fresh coriander handful
23: kewra water 1 tbsp
1: in a blender add all ingredients under marination, grind to a paste.
2: in a bowl add chicken, ginger & garlic paste, cumin roasted, salt, red chili powder, turmeric, corainder powder, tomatoes, marination paste mix well and keep aside for 1 hour.
3: heat oil add black peppercorn, green cardamom, fennel seeds, cinnimon stick, cloves, star anise, marinated chicken mix and cook on high flame for 6 to 7 minutes.
4: then add potatoes mix and cook for 2 minutes on high flame.
5: now add water mix and cook on low to medium flame till the chicken and potatoes are tender.
6: add green chili, garam masala powder, corainder leaves, kewra water mix.
7: serve hot with boiled eggs, naan, roti, paratha.
