Ingredients

1: 110g butter

 2: 1 cup milk

 3: 2 tsp vanilla extract

 4: 4 eggs (room temperature)

 5: 2 cups sugar

 6: 2 cups plain flour

 7: 2 tsp baking powder

 8: bundt pan grease and flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven 325f, 160c, Gas Mark 3.

     

     1: sieve flour, baking powder mix it with dry spoon.

     2: in a saucepan add milk, butter, vanilla and on medium heat wait until small bubbles form around the outside of the  pan and the mixture is very hot but not boiling.

     3: in a bowl add eggs and sugar and beat on medium-high speed for 5 minutes.

     4: once the egg and sugar mixture has tripled in volume, slowly add the hot milk mixture, mixing on low speed until  incorporated.

     5: now add the flour mixture and beat till combined.

     6: pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 1 hour, checking 5 minutes prior to baking end time. A toothpick  inserted into the middle of the cake should come out clean.

     7: cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting onto a cooling rack.

     8: serve with tea, coffee and enjoy.
