CHICKEN CHEESE PATTIES
Ingredients
- Chicken Breast – 1 large (boiled and shredded)
- Onion – 1 medium (finely chopped)
- Bell Pepper – 1 small (deseeded and finely chopped)
- Cheddar Cheese – 1 cup (grated)
- Milk – 1 cup
- Plain Flour – 2 tbsp
- Unsalted Butter – 2 tbsp
- Salt – 1 tsp
- Black Pepper Powder (or crushed) – 1 tsp (heaped)
- Ready-made Puff Pastry – 2 packs (320g each) or use homemade puff pastry
- Egg – 1 or 2 (for brushing)
Instructions

Prepare the Chicken:
Boil the chicken breast until fully cooked and shred it into small pieces. Set aside to cool.
Cook the Filling:
Melt the butter in a pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until soft and translucent.
Stir in the plain flour, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 2 minutes, allowing the mixture to thicken.
Make the Mixture:
Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly to avoid lumps. Cook on low flame until the mixture thickens to a creamy consistency.
Add the Chicken:
Once the mixture has thickened, add the shredded chicken. Mix well and let it cool completely.
Combine Cheese and Veggies:
Once the chicken mixture is cool, stir in the grated cheddar cheese and finely chopped bell pepper. Mix thoroughly.

Assemble the Patties:
Brush one pastry piece with egg wash. Add about 1 tsp of the chicken mixture on top.
Place another pastry piece on top and brush with egg wash again. Add another layer of chicken mixture and top with the third piece of pastry.
Gently press down to seal the edges and brush the top with egg wash.
Bake the Patties:
Place the patties on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden and puffed up.
