Marbel Cake
Ingerdients:
- Self raising flour 2cups
- Coco powder (unsweetened) 1/2 cup
- Granulated sugar 2cups
- Eggs 4
- Butter (Salted) 3/4 cups
- Vanila extracts 1tbs heeped
- Vegetable oil 1/4 cup
- Whole Milk 1cup
- Cake pan 9inch - Bun pan (in the video)
- Oven temperature 325F, 160C, gasmark 3
- Baking time required 1hour
Recipe:
- First of all, grease the pan with oil OR spray oil.
- In a seperate bowl, add butter, sugar and vegetable oil.
- Whisk the mixture till smooth and creamy.
- Add the eggs and vanila extracts and milk in the mixture and whisk again till smooth and creamy.
- Now add half the self raising flour and whisk it, once it is smoothly mixed add the remaining flour and whisk with electric OR hand whisk one last time.
- In a seperate bowl, add 8 to 9 tbs of the mixture and add coco powder to this seperate mixture and mix it well.
- Spoon in all the vanila (white) cake mix in the cake pan and with a spatula smooth the top.
- Now top it with the chocolate mixutre with a spoon.
- To give the cake a marble effect, with a butter knife mix the cake lightly (swirling shape). Do not go deep with the butter knife.
- In the end, again use a flat spatula to smooth down the layer and bake it for an hour OR until the tooth pick prick test is done (insert the tooth pick in the middle of the cake, pull it out and if comes out dry the cake is ready or else bake for further 10mins.
- Once baked, leave the cake out to cool down completely.
- Once cooled down, dust icing sugar on the top and dish it out.
- Serving suggestion - With ice cream OR whipped cream.
