Ingerdients:
1: caster sugar 150g
2: plain flour 150g
3: eggs 4
4: butter 150g
5: raisins 1/2 cup (optional)
6: baking powder 11/2 tsp
7: vanilla essence 1tbs
8: yellow food colour 1/4 tsp
9: 8 inch tin(grease & dust flour keep aside)
Recipe:
1: grease & dust flour the cake tin keep aside.
2: preheat the oven 180c, gas mark 4, 350f.
3: in a bowl mix sift the flour and baking powder.
4: in a separate bowl add sugar, yellow food colour, vanilla essence, butter and whisk it till smooth and creamy.
5: then add one egg, one tbs flour and whisk it keep add the eggs and flour, once all the eggs are added then add the remaining flour and whisk well.
6: now add the raisins mix well.
7: add the batter in the cake tin, spread evenly.
8: place the tin in the oven, middle rack and bake it for 25 to 30 minutes.
9: once baked let it cool down completely, than cut in pieces 1/2 inch thick, and let it cool for further 20 minutes.
10:now on the oven again same temperature, place the cut pieces on a baking tray and place the tray in the oven.
11:bake each side for at least 10 minutes or till gets golden colour and dries.
12:once dried let it cool down, it will get even more crispy when cools, serve and enjoy
