1: yogurt 1 cup
2: onion 2 medium
3: tomatoes 4 small
4: oil 1/2 cup
5: curry leaves 7 to 8
6: mustard seeds 1 tsp (rai dana)
7: Nigella seeds 1 tsp (kalonji)
8: fenugreek seeds 1/2 tsp (methi dana)
9: fennel seeds 1 tsp (saunf)
10: button red chillies 7
11: red chilli powder 1 & 1/2 tsp
12: coriander powder 1 tsp
13: salt 1 & 1/2 tsp
14: turmeric 1/2 tsp
15: potatoes 1 kg (peeled and boiled)
16: garam masala powder 1 tsp
17: bullit green chillies 3 (sliced)
18: fresh coriander leaves hand full
1: grind yogurt, onions and tomatoes in a paste.
2: heat oil add curry leaves, mustard seeds, nigella seeds, fenugreek seeds, fennel seeds, button red chillies and the grind paste, cook on high flame till the oil comes on the surface.
3: then add red chilli powder, coriander powder, salt, turmeric, 1/2 cup water mix and cook on medium flame till the oil comes on the surface.
4: now add the potatoes, garam masala powder, green chilli mix, cover and simmer on low flame for 10 minutes.
5: add fresh corainder mix.
6: serve hot with roti, naan, paratha.
