For a Powder Masala:
1: cloves 9
2: green cardamom 6
3: almonds 1 tbsp
4: bay leave 1
5: poppy seeds 1 tbsp (or) cashew nuts 1 tbsp
6: desiccated coconut 1 tbsp
Other Ingredients:
1: oil 1/2 cup
2: onions 3 medium (grind)
3: ginger & garlic paste 1 tbsp
4: chicken 1 kg
5: turmeric 1/4 tsp
6: salt 1 tsp
7: red chilli powder 1 & 1/2 tsp
8: coriander powder 1 tbsp
9: garam masala powder 1 tsp
10 :yogurt 1 cup
11: green chilli 2 (chopped)
12: fresh coriander hand full
13: boiled eggs 6
1: heat a frying pan and dry roast the cloves, green cardamom, almonds, bay leave, poppy seeds, desiccated coconut and then leave to cool, then grind to a powder.
2: heat oil add onion, ginger & garlic paste and fry on high flame till changes colour.
3: add chicken and fry till changes colour.
4: now add turmeric, salt, red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder and the masala powder that was roasted and grinned mix well and add yogurt and mix again, add water 1 cup mix and wait for a boil on high flame then cover and cook on low to medium flame till the chicken is tender and oil comes on surface.
5: add green chilli, coriander mix and simmer on low flame for 3 to 4 minutes.
6: garnish the curry with boiled eggs.
7: serve hot with roti, naan.
