Ingerdients:
1: 1 finely chopped onion
2: 1 tsp garlic, grated
3: 175 ml water
4: 1 tbsp dried basil
5: 1 tbsp dried oregano
6: 1/2 tsp sugar
7: 1 tsp tomato ketchup
8: 1 tbsp tomato puree
9: 2 tins chopped or plum tomatoes(260g drained)
10: 1 tsp Italian mixed herbs
11: Level tsp salt
12: Level tsp ground black pepper
13: 2 tbsp olive oil
Recipe:
1: Heat oil in a pan. Chop onion, grate garlic; add to pan stirring for 3 mins. Do not allow to colour.
Pour in the water and simmer till water has reduced by half before adding the tomatoes, basil, oregano, ketchup, puree, sugar and salt.
2:Break down the tomatoes with wooden spoon, give everything a good stir, cover and simmer gently for 30 mins.
3:Remove lid and add the mixed herbs and pepper, cover and simmer for a further 15 mins.

Tip:
Its a thick rich sauce with tomato and onion so for fussy kids just blend it till its smooth.
