For Cake:
1: 1 cup coca cola
2: 1/2 cup vegetable oil
3: 120g salted butter
4: 3 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
5: 2 cups sugar
6: 2 cups flour
7: 1 tsp baking soda
8: 2 eggs
9: 1/2 cup buttermilk
10:1 tsp vanilla
To Coke Bottle:
1: 1.5 litre coke bottle (washed and dry)
2: cadburys chocolate buttons 7 packets (each 119g)
3: dark chocolate chips 300g
For Filling:
1: double cream 2 cups
2: powder sugar 1/2 cup
preheat oven 350f, 180c, gas mark 4.
For Cake:
1: in a saucepan, mix Coca Cola, oil, butter and cocoa and bring to a boil.
2: in a bowl add sugar and sieve plain flour, baking soda and mix with a spoon.
3: in a bowl mix eggs, butter milk, vanilla and beat.
4: pour the boiled Cola mixture into the flour mixture and mix well on medium low speed.
5: then add the egg mixture and beat till combined.
6: grease and flour the 13" x 9" oven dish.
7: pour the batter and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or till checked with a tooth pick comes out clean (may take longer).
8: once baked leave to cool, then cut in 1 to 2 inches slices & freeze for 30 minutes.
For Making Chocolate Bottle:
1: remove label keep aside.
2: using a sharp knife or scissors, careful slice and remove a segment of plastic from the bottle.
3: melt chocolate on a double boiler.
4: coat the inside of the bottle with 2-3 layers of chocolate. Allow to harden in between each layer, keep in the freezer.
5: beat cream and powder sugar till thickened.
6: once chocolate has hardened, coat inside with cream, place the sliced cake and cream , continue till the bottle is full.
7: fill the opening with melted chocolate and keep in the freezer for 10 minutes.
8: then remove cake from the plastic, use a sharp knife to slice and remove it carefully by segments.
9: to reattach the label and lid, I glue it on with melted chocolate.
10: serve cake when desired. Store in the fridge. Cake is best consumed within 2-3 days.
