For Marination:
1: chicken 1 kg
2: ginger & garlic paste 1 & 1/2 tbsp
3: cinnimon powder 1/4 tsp
4: red chilli powder 1 & 1/2 tsp
5: turmeric 1/2 tsp
6: salt 1 tsp (heaped)
7: black pepper powder 1 tsp
8: garam masala powder 1 tsp
9: lemon juice 3 tbsp
10: green chilli 3 (chopped)
11: fresh coriander 3 tbsp
12: yogurt 1 cup
For Curry:
1: oil 1 cup
2: onions 2 large (grnd)
3: ginger & garlic paste 1 tbsp
4: tomatoes 5 (grind)
5: cashew nuts or almonds (grind it with water to a smooth paste)
6: dry fenugreek leaves 1 tbsp
7: chaat masala powder 1/4 tsp
8: coal to smoke the curry
9: cream 2 tbsp
1: in a bowl mix all ingredients under marination with the chicken, mix well and keep aside for 1 hour.
2: heat oil and add onion, ginger & garlic paste and fry on high flame till changes colour.
3: then add tomatoes, cashew nut paste mix and cook on medium flame till the oil comes on the surface.
4: add the marinated chicken and mix well, add water 1 cup, wait for a boil on high flame, then cover and cook on medium flame till the chicken is cooked and oil comes on the surface.
5: now add dry fenugreek leaves, chaat masala mix well.
6: heat the coals and smoke the curry as shown in the video.
7: garnish the dish with a little cream.
8: serve hot with roti, naan.
