1: cabbage 1 kg (sliced)
2: canned chickpeas 1/2 kg
3: onions 2 medium (sliced)
4: fresh ginger 1inch (Julian)
5: green chilli 3 (sliced)
6: salt 1 ts
7: garam masala powder 1 ts
8: cumin seeds 1 tbs
9: turmeric 1/2 ts
10:asafoetida (hing) 1/2 ts
11:crushed red chilli 1 tbs
12:fresh coriander handful
13:oil 1/2 cup
1: heat oil add cumin seeds, onions, ginger, green chilli few, hing and cook on asafoetida flame till the onions get soft.
2: then add cabbage and mix it, then crushed red chilli, turmeric, salt, chickpeas, water 1 glass mix and cook on low to medium flame till the water dries and cabbage is soft.
3: now add garam masala powder, remaining green chilli, fresh coriander mix.
4: serve hot with rice, roti.
